The Ultraleap Stereo IR 170 is a next-generation hand tracking camera module that captures the movement of users’ hands and fingers so they can interact naturally with digital content. It is designed to be integrated into VR/AR headsets, touchless interactive kiosks, and other enterprise-grade hardware solutions.

Ultraleap’s world-leading hand tracking software is able to discern 27 distinct hand elements, including bones and joints, and track them even when they are obscured by other parts of the hand.

Stereo IR 170 features a wider field of view, a longer tracking range, lower power consumption, and smaller form factor than our Leap Motion Controller.

The Stereo IR 170 Evaluation Kit consists of the Ultraleap Stereo IR 170 camera module in a plastic housing with USB header for plug-and-play evaluation. Unity and Unreal plugins together with our TouchFree application for interactive kiosks, OpenXR API layer and MRTK integration enable easy integration into existing workflows.

License Information:

  1. With the included commercial software licence, you can use the camera and TouchFree software to create touchless applications for public kiosks (for example, check-in kiosks, point-of-sale machines, or interactive advertising). The license included with your bundle does not cover applications for internal or enterprise business use (for example, aiding in the design or production of other products, or in industrial environments), or any application intended for the automotive industry. Military, medical, gambling, and nuclear applications are also excluded.

If you’re interested in these other use cases, please contact us directly and we’ll be happy to help you find the right license.
